Trailer Watch: Ridley Scott’s Prometheus full trailer

Ho-ly shit. Unlike the earlier teaser trailer, this full trailer has a pretty decent indication of the plot of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, his kinda-sorta Alien prequel, and it’s pretty wicked. Tons of new footage, and yet you stil know there’s a lot they’re holding back. Feast your eyes, kids. This movie’s gonna rock.

Prometheus was written by Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Charlize Theron and Ben Foster. It hits theaters on June 8, 2012.

Trailer Watch: Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows whaaaaat

I have to admit, I had the cheesiest grin on my face for most of this trailer. This is bat-shit crazy. Between this and the Frankenweenie trailer, maybe Tim Burton has turned his career around (creatively speaking — his awful Alice in Wonderland managed to make a billion dollars worldwide, so it’s hard to say he’s been struggling commercially).

Johnny Depp stars as Barnabas Collins in Tim Burton’s… adaptation(?) of the Dark Shadows soap opera. Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Gulliver McGrath, and Chloe Moretz round out the cast of the film, which hits theaters on May 11 (or, you know, wait for it to hit cable, Direct tv, or DVD like half the world).

Multiplex iPhone app v1.1 is in the iOS App Store

The Multiplex iPhone app has returned to the iOS App Store.

It has been updated to version 1.1, for iOS 5.1 compatibility (the 5.1 update caused the app to crash on launch) and, as a bonus, it is now ad-free. It’s a free update for existing users, of course, but because of the whole no-ads thing 99¢ to newbs. Truth be told, my brother (the programmer) and I have been taking a bath on the “free” app because of the annual dev program fee and the cost of keeping his coding software up to date. The 99¢ cost will hopefully balance that out more than the miniscule $40 per year we earned from iAds revenue.

Multiplex First Appearance T-shirts — Maybe? and I am going to blog about your insolence.

Brian’s Maybe? T-shirt is available again for the first time in a few years, and — in honor of the Blogger’s recent return to the strip — I’ve added a new shirt with the Blogger’s popular line, “I am going to blog about your insolence.” Both design (like all of my T-shirts now) are printed on demand by Threadsafe.

And don’t forget! There’s a sale on original sketches and vector portraits in the Multiplex Store through next Friday! All proceeds go to my accountant and the IRS!
