Trailer Watch: The Cabin in the Woods Trailer 2

A new trailer for Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s long-delayed Cabin in the Woods has hit the interwebs thanks to FearNET.

The R-rated horror flick stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford, and it hits theaters on April 13. You know you’re gonna watch it. Joss Whedon, man. Joss Whedon.

Trailer Watch: Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s Cabin in the Woods

Somebody explain to me how a movie with a trailer this great, which was written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard (Cloverfield), can get shelved for two years? Surely MGM (which bankrolled the film before going bankrupt) could have made it happen.

In any case, thanks are due to Lionsgate for rescuing Cabin in the Woods from oblivion. The film finally hits theaters in April.

Trailer Watch: Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark red band trailer (plus clip)

Check out the new red band trailer for producer Guillermo del Toro and director Troy Nixey’s Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark below. I might just be a big baby about teeth trauma, but this one creeps me out waaay more than the earlier trailer. (Don’t ever bring up American History X with me.)

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark opens tomorrow, August 26, 2011, in the US.

Trailer Watch: Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s Intruders

Courtesy Yahoo! Movies comes the full trailer for 28 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo supernatural thriller, Intruders. The film stars Clive Owen, Carice van Houten, Daniel Bruhl, Pilar Lopez de Ayala and Kerry Fox and centers around “two families whose lives are disrupted by menacing apparitions: in Spain, a mother tries to protect her son from a faceless stranger, while in Britain, a young girl has terrifying dreams of a demon who becomes a real danger to her and her family.”

Intruders premieres at the 59th San Sebastian Film Festival on September 16th and will be released in the US, the UK, Spain and Ireland on October 7th.
