The Multiplex Store is now powered by Stripe!

Before yesterday, the only way to use credit cards in the Multiplex Store was to use PayPal’s “Pay by credit or debit card” option, which I just learned can be a little… persnickety with some customers’ cards and/or e-mail addresses, so I’ve added direct credit card payment processing (powered by Stripe) to the Multiplex Store!

You can still use PayPal (or PayPal’s credit card processing) if you like, of course, but if you’ve had trouble using your card in the past or didn’t realize you could already use a credit card without having a PayPal account, there shouldn’t be any problems now. No need to sign up for a Stripe account; a simple, secure Stripe pop-up will complete your transaction!

Don’t forget that throughout the 2014 holiday season, if you buy BOTH Multiplex books from the store, you’ll get $10 off! And for Patreon backers at the $3 level or higher, that’s in addition to your Patreon discount!

Multiplex Store shipping rates have been reduced!

I just purchased a new shipping module for The Multiplex Store that gives me more flexibility in setting shipping and handling costs, so US customers will see much better rates on all (physical) items in the Multiplex Store. If any of you guys in the US balked at the shipping costs before, be sure to check them out now.

Books are $5 for the first one then $1.50 per additional book (rather than $5 per book), saving you $3.50 if you order two books. T-shirts are now $4 for the first shirt (any size) and $1.50 per additional shirt. And sketches and other artwork are also $4 for the first item, then $1 per additional item.

Rates for international customers are unchanged; I still use USPS First Class International’s rates as they are quoted by the USPS without any additional markup.

Now is as good as any to pick up that copy of Multiplex: There and Back Again!

I’m very pleased to (officially) announce that Multiplex: There and Back Again (Book Two) has won the Gold Medal for Graphic Novel/Drawn Book–Humor/Cartoon in the 2014 Independent Book Publisher Awards (a.k.a. the IPPYs)! That’s right, Multiplex is now an award-winning comic strip, and I am an award-winning cartoonist. Also, an award-winning publisher and book designer. (I don’t really count the 2008 WCRCA for Best Supporting Character.) You can see the complete list of winners over at the Independent Publisher site.

I hired a bunch of crappy T-shirt models. (Also, I need more.)

rosebud-ladies_tI decided to get all Busted Tees up in the Multiplex Store’s newly re-opened T-shirt section, so if you’re feeling a little bit bored and want to see some catalog-style drawings of the Multiplex gang (not just the girls), go window shop for shirts.

I tried my best to make the shirts actually look like the real shirts (color-wise, length of sleeves, size of the imprint, etc.), but obviously they’re not going to be spot-on.

In light of that, I would like to get some real product photos of the shirts, so if you order a shirt and e-mail me a photo of yourself wearing it, I’ll give you a $2 coupon code for the Multiplex Store* — whether I can use it or not! (It should be as large as possible, so I can crop it down to an image about 600 pixels square. Half-way decent lighting is kinda important.)

If you already have a Multiplex shirt, yes, it does need to be a NEW order (this week), because I need them to be from the current printer.

This offer stands at least September 13th or I have enough photos, whichever comes later. Limit one coupon per customer.

* With Multiplex: There and Back Again (Book Two) coming out in a few short months, I’m sure you can think of something to use that coupon code on.
