Patreon backers got an early look at this, but one of the freelance projects I’ve done recently is movie-themed, and I wanted to share it with you. It’s a poster for the Somerville Theatre’s upcoming Midnight Specials film series. (In Somerville, Mass.)
So if you’re in that area, definitely check out this film series starting later this month. And if you’re not, just dig on this poster I made for them. It was a hell of a lot of fun to do:
If you’d like to buy one of these, the theater — not me — is planning to sell 11″x17″ posters for $14 and 24″x36″ posters for $30. (These are short, custom print runs, hence the premium cost.) Postage is included (for those of you hailing from the United States). Contact Ian Judge of FEI Theatres (ijudge at feitheatres.com) for more information!
And if you’re a theater manager interested in commissioning something like this for your theater, definitely shoot me an e-mail! (The “Contact Gordon” link in the footer is your friend.)
I like it.
I hate to be “that guy” – but an actual movie poster is 27 X 40.
If you’re going to be that guy, then I’m going to say, “No shit.” These are the sizes they specced.
Gordon, this is amazing! I love it! I think if I lived closer to the theater in question I’d order one. Or if it was direct through you. Leon is without a doubt my favorite.
Coney Island Summer Flicks on the Beach series should get a poster done up by you!
