Trailer Watch: The Total Recall theatrical trailer is ridiculously awesome.

A full trailer for Len Wiseman’s Total Recall is up, and while there’s the ever-present fear (these days) that the trailer is showing too many of the awesome bits, I love the shit out of it. I think I’ll be avoiding anything else about this movie so that I can actually it when I see it in theaters. Checkitout:

Now, I was on board with this flick from the teaser trailer, but how about you fence-sitters (or nay-sayers)? Has this won any of you over?

Total Recall stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel, Bill Nighy, and John Cho. It opens August 3rd.

Trailer Watch: International Looper trailer

A new trailer for Looper is up — this one for the international markets. They might be showing a little too much, and we definitely get a bit more of the plot than we have anywhere else, so if you want to go in blind, maybe pass this one up, but God damn, this flick (still) looks good.

Looper opens on September 28 and stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Noah Segan, Piper Perabo and Jeff Daniels.

Trailer Watch: Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph

Disney’s next non-Pixar CG-animated feature centers around an analog for Donkey Kong — the titular Wreck-It Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) attempts to shed his bad-guy image by escaping into Hero’s Duty (Halo), but inadvertently wreaks havoc in the video-game universe by freeing a digital villain (sort of like Tron?) — and it’s all mixed in with Who Framed Roger Rabbit?-style cameos from popular video game characters.

So yeah. I had a grin on my face throughout the trailer. Jane Lynch as the tough-as-nails hottie from Hero’s Duty and Sarah Silverman as an obnoxious little girl (princess?) from some kind of Candyland-lookin’ world are inspired bits of casting, and the film looks great. This one’s a must-see for me.

Wreck-It Ralph was directed by Rich Moore (long-time TV animation veteran and sequence director for The Simpsons Movie) and opens on November 2, 2012.

Trailer Watch: The Bourne Legacy and Skyfall

One of the most unnecessary sequels ever made — a Bourne sequel without Jason Bourne — is out soon, and yet the trailer looks pretty interesting. Tony Gilroy (screenwriter of the original films) is back as writer and is also taking over directing duties.

The Bourne Legacy stars Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) as the Matt Damon stand-in, and honestly, I don’t really care what it’s about. It’ll be in theaters on August 3rd, though.

I didn’t post the new teaser for Skyfall (the next 007 film) when it came out, because I didn’t think it showed all that much to get worked up about, but here that is for your compare/contrasting pleasure. Skyfall hits theaters in the US on November 9.
